Multi-Unit RenovationsApartment Complex Makeover | |
This project transformed a tired 195-unit apartment complex in Portland into an attractive setting for potential residents. We re-imagined the entire site from its former name, Fountain Heights, into a new concept, The Clocktower. Since its re-branding, the complex has gone from a 60-75% occupancy rate to a 95% occupancy rate. |

We produced design sketches and wrote specifications, and the transformation began. With the addition of a clock, the old tower became an instantly recognizable local landmark, giving passers-by a reason to look at and remember the apartments.

The Portland area has many apartment complexes, all painted in variations of muted earth tones. Our design sought to set this location apart and give it a distinct identity. You can see the makeover in progress here with the new colors in the foreground.

Brand new signage and new stone monuments designed by DeLory finish off the fresh look, introducing the crisp, blue color scheme to would-be residents and setting an upscale tone for the complex as a whole.
